Potential Health Effects
Eye Contact: Causes serious eye damage. May cause burns in the presence of moisture. Symptoms may include discomfort or pain, excess blinking and tear production, with possible redness and swelling.
Skin Contact: Causes skin irritation. May cause burns in the presence of moisture. Skin contact during hydration may slowly develop sufficient heat that may cause severe burns possibly resulting in permanent injury. Do not allow product to harden around any body part or allow continuous, prolonged contact with skin. Handling can cause dry skin.
Inhalation: May cause respiratory irritation.
Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. May cause stomach distress, nausea or vomiting. -

Carcinogenicity
Causes damage to lungs through prolonged or repeated exposure. Respirable crystalline silica in the form of quartz or cristobalite from occupational sources is listed by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and National Toxicology Program (NTP) as a lung carcinogen. Prolonged exposure to respirable crystalline silica has been known to cause silicosis, a lung disease, which may be disabling. While there may be a factor of individual susceptibility to a given exposure to respirable silica dust, the risk of contracting silicosis and the severity of the disease is clearly related to the amount of dust exposure and the length of time (usually years) of exposure. -
Handling information
This product can expose you to chemicals including Titanium dioxide and Quartz, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Do not swallow. Handle and open container with care. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Use only in well ventilated areas. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling. Keep out of the reach of children. Store in dust-tight, dry, labeled containers. Keep containers closed when not in use. Keep from freezing. Storage temperature : 4 – 35 °C / 39.2 – 95 °F. -
Disposal information
Do not swallow. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Good housekeeping is important to prevent accumulation of dust. Avoid generating and breathing dust. The use of compressed air for cleaning clothing, equipment, etc, is not recommended. Handle and open container with care. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Wash hands before eating, drinking, or smoking. Keep out of the reach of children. Store in dust-tight, dry, labelled containers. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Avoid any dust buildup by frequent cleaning and suitable construction of the storage area. Do not store in an area equipped with emergency water sprinklers. -
First Aid
Eye Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If easy to do, remove contact lenses, if worn. Get medical attention immediately.Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Call a physician if irritation develops and persists.Inhalation: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.Ingestion:If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
